With JUNO Week fast approaching, the 55th Annual JUNO Awards have unveiled a new wave of performers set to take the national stage in Hamilton, alongside a major tribute celebrating one of Canada’s most influential artists.
Leading the announcement is a special tribute to Nelly Furtado, who will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during the broadcast. The tribute will feature performances from Alessia Cara, Jully Black, Shawn Desman, and Tanya Tagaq, alongside additional surprise guests. Backed by Furtado’s longtime band and curated by musical director Herag Sanbalian, the performance will spotlight some of her most defining hits, honouring a career that has shaped Canadian music on a global scale for over two decades.
Adding to the broadcast lineup, rising Canadian artists MICO and Sofia Camara have also been confirmed as performers for the March 29 show at Hamilton’s TD Coliseum. MICO, the Filipino-Canadian alt-pop artist, has built a massive global following through online communities, amassing over 300 million streams and a dedicated fanbase. Meanwhile, Sofia Camara continues her rapid ascent in pop, following the viral success of “Who Do I Call Now? (Hellbent)” and major festival appearances across North America.
The 2026 broadcast will also feature appearances from Begonia, Billy Talent, Melanie Fiona, and athletes Sarah Nurse and Renata Fast, with DJ Dre Ngozi returning as the official show DJ.
Beyond the broadcast, JUNO Week will transform Hamilton into the centre of Canada’s music scene from March 26 to March 29. The JUNO Awards Gala Presented by Music Canada returns on March 28, where more than 40 awards will be handed out, alongside performances from artists including Fredz, Saya Gray, and Ryan Ofei. The evening will also spotlight the Humanitarian Award and Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award.
Across the city, JUNOfest and the JUNO Songwriters’ Circle will showcase both emerging and established talent in more intimate settings, while the JUNO KickOff Concert launches the week with a high-energy lineup of Canadian country and roots acts. Adding a visual spectacle to the celebrations, a large-scale drone light show will illuminate Hamilton’s skyline following both the Gala and the main broadcast.
