J.I.D has teamed up with Clipse for the official video to “Community,” one of the standout tracks from his new album God Does Like Ugly. Directed by Omar Jones, the visual captures the sharpness and urgency that have made the Atlanta rapper and Virginia legends some of hip-hop’s most consistent voices.
The track, layered with dense wordplay and social commentary, quickly became a fan favorite when the album arrived earlier this summer. In the video, Jones pairs the trio’s lyrical intensity with striking imagery that feels both raw and cinematic.
The release lands as J.I.D prepares for his most ambitious tour yet. The “God Does Like World Tours” kicks off October 15 in Virginia Beach and stretches across North America, Europe, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia through 2026. Young Nudy will join all U.S. dates, Mick Jenkins is slated to support in Europe, and Jordan Ward will appear across Australia and New Zealand.
Known for transforming stages into high-energy spectacles, J.I.D is poised to deliver some of the biggest solo performances of his career. “Community” adds fuel to the anticipation, giving fans another glimpse into the spirit of his live show.
God Does Like Ugly, J.I.D’s fourth studio album, has been widely praised since its August release. Featuring collaborators like Clipse, Ciara, Ty Dolla $ign, Vince Staples, and Jessie Reyez, the 15-track project has been spotlighted by NPR, Complex, and Stereogum as one of the year’s best rap albums. Critics have hailed J.I.D as “one of rap’s most reliable presences,” and the new video only reinforces that claim.
