Drag Me To Cowboys Just Announced Its Biggest Lineup Yet

This summer, drag royalty is heading west.

Cowboys Music Festival just announced its Drag Me to Cowboys lineup, bringing together some of the most influential names in drag for what promises to be the festival’s most ambitious edition to date. Now firmly established as a Stampede-season fixture, the event has become one of Canada’s most compelling celebrations of queer artistry and performance.

Leading the bill is Sasha Velour, the visionary artist and winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 whose theatrical approach to drag has helped redefine the art form on a global scale. Joining her is Sasha Colby, the Hawaiian-born icon whose influence on contemporary drag extends far beyond her RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 crown.

The lineup also welcomes Roxxxy Andrews, one of the franchise’s most enduring and beloved stars, alongside Nearah Nuff, the Calgary-born performer whose rise from local favourite to international breakout has positioned her among the most exciting voices in Canadian drag today.

The celebration will be hosted by Calgary drag legend Farrah Nuff, a cornerstone of the city’s queer community and one of the driving forces behind Drag Me to Cowboys since its inception. Opening the festivities is Karla Marx, bringing her signature blend of drag, comedy, and DJ culture to the stage. And in a fitting finale, the event will conclude with a DJ set from RuPaul herself, the cultural icon whose influence helped transform drag from a niche art form into a global phenomenon.

The announcement arrives at a moment when drag continues to expand its influence across fashion, entertainment, and popular culture. While the art form has always existed at the intersection of performance and self-expression, today’s leading drag artists are increasingly shaping conversations around creativity, identity, and visibility on a global scale.

Within Calgary’s most visible cultural moment, Drag Me to Cowboys brings together local community and internationally recognized talent in a way that feels distinctly Albertan. The result is an event shaped as much by its place in the city’s Stampede season as by its connection to the broader evolution of drag culture.
